This competition focused on large-span structures, challenging participants to design and create a large-span structure using thin bamboo strips and sheets within 16 hours. The structure had to withstand a uniformly distributed dead load, an unevenly distributed live load, and varying horizontal loads. A total of 42 participants from 7 universities in Shanghai competed fiercely over three days, with awards given for first, second, and third places.

OPEN Chairman Chen Ming spoke at the closing ceremony, stating, "The college student structural design competition is highly meaningful, as it inspires students to connect theory with practice. We are eager to continue supporting this event."
